Dr. Young- Wade Young is a native of Green Springs, Ohio and a graduate of Clyde High School, Heidelberg College, and Northwestern University Medical School. He has been in practice in the area since 1987. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and licensed by the Ohio State Medical Board. He is a medical staff member at Fremont Memorial Hospital and Tiffin Mercy Hospital. He is a member of the consulting staff at St. Francis Health Care Center, Green Springs. Dr. Young was chief-of-staff at Fremont Memorial Hospital in 1995 and 1996.
Dr. Young has vast experience in cataract and refractive surgery. He has performed vision correction surgery since 1994 and has supervised the training of other doctors in vision correction surgery. Dr. Young uses the latest technology to perform small incision cataract surgery with the newest lens implants. He is one of the few surgeons in the area to be approved to use high tech cataract implants that reduce dependence on glasses post-operatively.
Dr. Young lives in Fremont with his wife and four children. He is a member of Green Springs United Methodist Church serving as choir director and organist for many years. Besides spending time with his family he enjoys hunting, golfing, singing in the "Four Decades" quartet and is involved in many community organizations.
Dr. Meade- Thomas Meade graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1988 and was voted "most likely to succeed" by his graduating class. He attended Youngstown State University and received his B.S. in 1991. He stayed at YSU and entered graduate school to work on a Master's degree. He then accepted an adjunct faculty position in the biology department at Thiel College in Greenville, Pennsylvania. He decided teaching was not his calling and entered Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1994. He graduated in 1998 and was inducted into the International Optometric Honor Society. Dr. Meade did an externship at the Ohio Eye Alliance Surgical Center in Alliance, Ohio. He began practicing at the Tiffin Eye Center in July 1998 in Tiffin, Ohio where he resides with his wife and son.
